The Syrah 2020 presents itself in rich ruby red, a visual feast that arouses anticipation of its aromatic diversity.
The bouquet unfolds complex notes of black currants, dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon, a harmonious interplay.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, accompanied by intense aromas of blackberries, spices and an elegant tannin structure.
The Syrah 2020 matured for 16 months in French barriques, giving it a balanced structure and remarkable depth.

At the end of his school days in the Swabian town of Waiblingen, Kai Schubert already knew two things for sure: "Pinot Noir is my passion" and "I want to be a winemaker". No sooner said than done. After completing his viticulture studies in Geisenheim, the career changer began a worldwide search for the right place for a winery with the best conditions for Pinot Noir - and he chose New Zealand. In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
