wine description

Earthy citrus bomb with wet stone.

The wine presents itself in a clear, bright straw yellow with delicate green reflections. The brilliant clarity and the vibrant color reflect its freshness and quality, which is achieved through the careful vinification at the Künstler winery.

The nose reveals intense aromas of citrus fruits such as lemon and lime, accompanied by green apple and peach notes. This fruitiness is complemented by subtle mineral and earthy nuances of flint and wet stone.

On the palate, the wine shows a perfect balance of freshness and acidity, supported by juicy aromas of apricot and honeydew melon. The minerality gives it structure and depth, while the long, refreshing acidity dominates the finish.

This Riesling comes from the renowned Hochheimer Hölle site in the Rheingau. The wine is vinified with the greatest care from hand-picked grapes, which contributes to its remarkable quality. The aging in stainless steel emphasizes the freshness and purity of the fruit aromas. Why this wine is special: It combines traditional craftsmanship with the latest cellar technology.

Wineyard Künstler

The Hochheim VDP great with a moving family history.

The Künstler winery looks back on an eventful history that stretches back to the 17th century. After the family was expelled from South Moravia after the Second World War, Franz Künstler founded the winery in Hochheim am Main in 1956. Today it is run by his son Gunter Künstler, who continues his father's legacy with passion and a spirit of innovation. The winery now covers over 50 hectares, planted primarily with Riesling and Pinot Noir. Under Gunter Künstler's management, the winery has received numerous national and international awards. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern cellar technology makes it possible to produce wines of the highest quality that perfectly reflect the terroir of the Rheingau, including 8 VDP.Grosse Lagen. Innovation, sustainability and environmentally friendly cultivation methods are central components of the winery's philosophy and guarantee of Künstler's success.
