wine description

Green apple with tropical passion fruit.

In the glass, the wine radiates a bright straw yellow with green reflections, which speaks of youthful freshness. The clear, light color is typical of a fresh Sauvignon Blanc and reinforces the expectation of lively aromas.

The nose is dominated by notes of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lime, accompanied by tropical aromas such as passion fruit. There are also grassy notes and hints of green apple, which together create a complex, fresh bouquet that invigorates the senses.

On the palate, the wine is dry and crisp with lively acidity. The fruity aromas of citrus and tropical fruit continue, complemented by mineral nuances. The finish is long and elegant, which reinforces the impression of freshness and depth.

This Sauvignon Blanc is matured exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and fruit. The soils of Marlborough and the cool, maritime climate ensure slow ripening, which gives an impressive variety of aromas and acid structure and makes this wine special.

In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
