wine description

Spicy wild berries with cherry chocolate.

The Schubert Block B 2020 presents itself in a seductive deep ruby red with vivid violet reflections, which indicate the optimal maturity and concentration of this Pinot Noir.

The nose is pampered by intense aromas of wild berries, accompanied by subtle notes of spices, earthy truffle and a hint of cedar wood.

The mouthfeel is silky and full-bodied, while on the palate a fascinating combination of dark chocolate, juicy cherries, spicy spices and an elegant mineral note unfolds.

The Schubert Block B 2020 was vinified with the utmost precision, with the grapes being gently pressed and aged in new French oak barrels. This gives the wine a perfect harmony and complex structure.

In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
