Grilled peach with juicy flowers.

Greenish, playful with a fine herbal spiciness, this wine is a perfect addition to the Domaine Taupenot-Merme range.

The aromas in this wine are unusual but a real experience: grilled peach, white flowers, green apricots, pear and a bit of ash.

It is well known that great Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs come from Burgundy. The Aligoté grape variety, on the other hand, is more of an underdog. At lunchtime or for a snack, there is no Grand Cru in the glass, but rather a fresh, juicy Aligoté.

Virginie and Romain have revived a sleeping giant.

The siblings Virginie and Romain Taupenot cultivate over 13 hectares with 19 appellations from Auxey-Duressees in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte d'Or, producing a range that is as diverse as it is qualitatively homogeneous. Since the beginning of the millennium, organic farming without labels has revived a wine region that was born in 1974 from the union of the two owner families and that has since then awaited the passionate commitment of the current generation of owners to revive the full potential of the highly sought-after plots, in particular Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes Chambertin in the Grand Cru.
