Inama
A family dances on the volcano.
The Inama winery combines decades of family tradition with deep viticultural expertise to create exceptional wines from the volcanic terroir of the Soave Classico and Colli Berici. The result is authentic wines with unique minerality and complexity.
Northern Italian family tradition and modern methods at the Inama volcanic winery.
Inama Azienda Agricola was founded in the 1960s by Giuseppe Inama, who began acquiring small plots of land in the Soave Classico, a region known for its unique volcanic soils. Today the estate extends over 30 hectares and is run by the third generation of the Inama family. Giuseppe recognized early on the potential of the region to produce exceptional wines that impress with their mineral and floral character.
The winery now grows both red and white grape varieties. Originally known for its white Soave wines, Inama expanded its portfolio to include Sauvignon Blanc and, in the 1990s, red varieties such as Carmenère and Merlot. The family places great importance on caring for the vines and treating nature with respect in order to reflect the unique characteristics of the terroir in the wine. Today, the winery is run by son Stefano and grandchildren, Matteo, Luca and Alessio, who continue his vision with passion and a spirit of innovation.
Sustainable and organic wine production
Inama is strongly committed to sustainable practices in winemaking. The winery relies on natural cultivation methods to promote biodiversity and minimize the ecological footprint. This includes avoiding synthetic chemicals and promoting soil health and biodiversity through green manure and other environmentally friendly techniques. The family deliberately does not use organic certification for red wine production for advertising purposes in order not to create a positive bias in tastings. The aim is only the quality of the wine and not the names on the label.
Honesty and Sincerity in Winemaking
Inama stands for transparent and honest wine production. The family emphasizes the importance of authenticity and integrity by respecting the natural features of the terroir and expressing them in their wines in an authentic way. This philosophy is reflected in both the cultivation practices and the processing of the grapes, where unnecessary interventions are avoided.
Social and charitable initiatives
The Inama winery is involved in various social and charitable projects. The family supports local communities through donations and participation in charitable events. The winery also places value on fair working conditions and the promotion of local culture and traditions in order to make a positive contribution to society.
"Our wines reflect the heart and soul of our terroir – you can literally taste the volcano in the glass."
