Merlot Napa Valley
Merlot Napa Valley

Youthful cherry freshness with peppery almond.
The deep dark red of the Merlot with purple reflections appears almost black.
The visual heaviness is followed by strong cherry and plum notes, enriched with the freshness of raspberries and almonds. Traces of pepper and anise also provide aromatic tension.
The acidity of the Merlot is present, but is offset by the length of the round tannins. It crackles with complexity on the palate. The finish is soft and smooth - an impression that lasts.
The Merlot grapes come from both the mountain and valley locations of Long Meadow Ranch. The versatility of the terroir was skilfully captured by aging in French oak.
A farm with a long meadow in the Mayacamas Mountains is the focal point of Full Circle Farming.
The goal is to produce first-class wines - the by-products are unique and are used in the restaurant and at the weekly market. The entrepreneur and trombonist Ted Hall moved to California with his wife Laddie in the 1970s and immediately became a great wine lover. The dream of having his own vineyard eventually led him to buy a fallow and overgrown piece of land with a characteristic long meadow and a farmhouse: the Long Meadow Ranch.
With a lot of sweat, passion and belief in the success of the Full Circle Farming concept, the land was transformed into well-tended farmland, where son Chris now grows wine, olives and over 500 rare types of vegetables and fruit. An important part of the entire mission is the animal component: Highland cattle and chickens provide fertilizer, meat and eggs. Along with the farm's own bees, they keep the Long Meadow Ranch ecosystem in balance. All of the farm's products are very popular in the farm's own restaurant and at local farmers' markets.
The location, the Napa Valley, plays a crucial role when it comes to wine. Wines from the Napa Valley enjoy an excellent reputation and guarantee the highest quality and uniqueness. With vineyards in Rutherford, in the Mayacamas Mountains and in St. Helena, the vineyards also reflect the rich diversity of the Napa Valley. The exotic vineyards are the vines in the Anderson Valley outside the Napa Valley - Burgundian conditions prevail in northern California - compared to the Mediterranean Napa Valley. The result: an exciting range of attractive Californian premium wines.
