wine description

Chocolatey strawberry with complex cherry.

The artist Assmannshäuser Höllenberg Spätburgunder GG presents itself in the glass with a deep ruby red, which is interspersed with purple reflections. The clear and brilliant color promises a high level of concentration and elegance.

A complex bouquet of cherry, raspberry and strawberry unfolds on the nose, underpinned by subtle notes of chocolate, oak and vanilla. Fine nuances of leather, earthy tones and a hint of violet round off the aromatic profile.

On the palate, the wine is soft and harmonious with a remarkable finesse. The gentle tannins are well integrated and support the balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant, characterized by fruity and slightly spicy accents.

This Pinot Noir comes from the best locations on the Höllenberg in the Rheingau. The grapes are processed optimally through careful hand-picking and gentle vinification. Maturation in oak barrels gives the wine additional depth and complexity.

Wineyard Künstler

The Hochheim VDP great with a moving family history.

The Künstler winery looks back on an eventful history that stretches back to the 17th century. After the family was expelled from South Moravia after the Second World War, Franz Künstler founded the winery in Hochheim am Main in 1956. Today it is run by his son Gunter Künstler, who continues his father's legacy with passion and a spirit of innovation. The winery now covers over 50 hectares, planted primarily with Riesling and Pinot Noir. Under Gunter Künstler's management, the winery has received numerous national and international awards. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern cellar technology makes it possible to produce wines of the highest quality that perfectly reflect the terroir of the Rheingau, including 8 VDP.Grosse Lagen. Innovation, sustainability and environmentally friendly cultivation methods are central components of the winery's philosophy and guarantee of Künstler's success.
