After the family was expelled from South Moravia after the Second World War, Franz Künstler founded the winery in Hochheim am Main in 1956. Today it is run by his son Gunter Künstler, who continues his father's legacy with passion and a spirit of innovation. Under Gunter Künstler's leadership, the winery has received numerous national and international awards. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern cellar technology makes it possible to produce wines of the highest quality that perfectly reflect the terroir of the Rheingau, including 8 VDP.Grosse Lagen.
