Assmannshäuser Frankenthal 2020

Assmannshäuser Frankenthal
Assmannshäuser Frankenthal

Complex cherry with juicy caramel.
The Pinot Noir is a deep ruby red with garnet reflections. The brilliant clarity and dense color already indicate an intense aroma. When swirled, it shows a delicate viscosity that indicates a full-bodied character.
The bouquet opens with dominant aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry. There are also subtle notes of caramel and oak as well as hints of balsamic and earthy tones. Subtle spicy notes of menthol and cinnamon round off the complex aroma profile.
On the palate, the wine is harmonious and well-structured. The lively acidity and velvety tannins give it a pleasant freshness and elegance. The taste is characterized by dark fruits, leather and a slightly spicy component, which leads to a long, complex finish.
This Pinot Noir is grown in the renowned Rheingau, one of Germany's most famous wine regions. The vines thrive on mineral-rich soils, which give the wine its unique structure. It is aged in oak barrels, which gives it additional depth and complexity. A truly special wine that perfectly reflects the terroir.
The Hochheim VDP great with a moving family history.
The Künstler winery looks back on an eventful history that stretches back to the 17th century. After the family was expelled from South Moravia after the Second World War, Franz Künstler founded the winery in Hochheim am Main in 1956. Today it is run by his son Gunter Künstler, who continues his father's legacy with passion and a spirit of innovation. The winery now covers over 50 hectares, planted primarily with Riesling and Pinot Noir. Under Gunter Künstler's management, the winery has received numerous national and international awards. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern cellar technology makes it possible to produce wines of the highest quality that perfectly reflect the terroir of the Rheingau, including 8 VDP.Grosse Lagen. Innovation, sustainability and environmentally friendly cultivation methods are central components of the winery's philosophy and guarantee of Künstler's success.
