wine description

Silky cherry with chocolatey violet.

The Marions Vineyard Magnum 2017 impresses with an intense ruby red that literally shines in the magnum bottle.

This Pinot Noir seduces the senses with beguiling aromas of ripe cherries, dark chocolate and a hint of delicate violets, creating a complex and tantalizing symphony of scents.

The mouthfeel is silky and full-bodied, while on the palate an explosion of juicy berries, accompanied by nuances of vanilla and fine spices, creates a harmonious and long finish.

Marion's Vineyard Magnum 2017 was lovingly aged for 18 months in carefully selected French oak barrels. This aging process gives the wine a remarkable structure and a subtle vanilla note.

After completing his viticulture studies in Geisenheim, the career changer began a worldwide search for the right place for a winery with the best conditions for Pinot Noir - and he chose New Zealand. In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
