wine description

Green apple kisses mineral banana.

Los Pedregales present themselves in an exciting straw yellow with bright reflections.

On the nose we notice a lot of green apple, but also banana and honey. Mineral notes are very present and work well together with lemon zest, walnut and ripe apricot.

On the palate: smooth, elegant and full. The distinctive aroma ensures a pleasant balance and a long finish. Just a small sip is enough for a mouthful of wine.

The vines grow at an altitude of 600 meters on soils that are characterized by gravel and sand. This gives the wine its length and melting quality in the glass. Although the wine was not aged in wood, it is a great accompaniment to rich, creamy dishes.

Bodega Luzdivina Amigo

The 100-year-old vines of the Amigo family in the Spanish northwest

A little-known wine region in the northwest of Spain. Exciting grape varieties and some vines that are hundreds of years old. A family that has been growing wine with dedication and passion for generations. We are at the Bodega Luzdivina in the Bierzo region in the northwest of Spain, where the Menica grape is used to produce wines of the highest quality and character. The wines are strongly influenced in the vineyard, as the unique characteristics of the soils and locations are utilized and preserved here.

There is no denying that the great red wines of Spain come from Rioja and Priorat. However, in recent years a small region in the northwest of the country has emerged as a real high-flyer.
Bierzo never fails to impress with its great red wines made from the Mencia grape. These wines are not just a discovery, but a real highlight because they are rich, structured and graceful.

The Amigo family has been cultivating vines in the region for many generations. In total, they cultivate 18 hectares of land, which are divided into more than 120 small plots, which are not far from each other. For the family, the soul of the wines comes from these small vineyards. The vines do not grow on wire systems as we are used to, but as small free-standing bushes on the barren, stony soil. A total of 18 hectares of land are used, which are spread over more than 120 small plots, which are not far from each other. For the family, the soul of the wines comes from these small vineyards. The vines of Mencia and Godello are between 50 and 100 years old. The old, almost extinct grape varieties Jerez, Doña Blanca and Garnacha Tintorera are also grown there.
