Cul de Beaujeu 2019

Cul de Beaujeu
Cul de Beaujeu

Intoxicating cherry with spicy cedar chocolate.
The Cul de Beaujeu 2019 presents itself in a deep ruby red with violet nuances, seductive and clear in the glass.
The nose delights with notes of black cherries, delicate tobacco and a subtle embrace of vanilla.
In the mouth, a velvety mouthfeel with harmonious tannins unfolds, accompanied by aromas of ripe cherries, fine spices and a hint of chocolate.
The grapes for this wine come from carefully selected plots of the Domaine Delaporte in the Loire Valley. After fermentation, the wine was aged in oak barrels, which gives the wine a subtle complexity.
Favored by the microclimate.
Matthieu Delaporte's vineyards are located in the village of Chavignol in the AOC-certified Sancerre wine-growing region. The vines here are located on steep slopes in a narrow valley, the barren chalky soil is covered by topsoil just a few tens of centimeters thick. The steep slopes and the narrow valley of Chavignol also promote a special microclimate. The mineral, chalky soil makes the wines slim, while at the same time giving them something particularly noble and ensuring a natural freshness. Thanks to the warm microclimate of Chavignol, this minerality is perfectly balanced here.
