The Château de Bousval Tout Cru shows a brilliant, pale gold in the glass. Clear and sparkling, it reflects the light with a lively, crystalline purity. Its elegant appearance is complemented by soft, even streaks.
The bouquet reveals a complex aroma of oak, butter and vanilla, accompanied by fruity notes such as apple, pear and peach. Citrus accents of lemon and lime as well as a subtle minerality round off the profile.
On the palate, the wine is fresh and elegant with a lively acidity. Flavors of roasted nuts and a hint of marzipan combine harmoniously with tropical notes of pineapple. A fine, long-lasting finish.
This wine is the result of careful handwork at the Château de Bousval winery. 20% matured in new oak barrels, 80% in old oak barrels. The combination of traditional techniques and modern vinification makes it special.

In 2012, Michel Verhaeghe de Naeyer decided to put his vision of Walloon wine into practice: biodynamically produced with the highest quality standards. He completely restructured the 5.4 hectares of meadows and fields south of Brussels, planted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris and hoped that the frosty Walloon-Belgian winters would not kill his plants.
He was rewarded in 2016 with the first harvest of Belgian wine - still an absolute novelty in the wine world. Since then, the yield has increased annually, allowing cellar masters Vincent and Romain to create a stable result in the French-speaking part of Belgium. The award-winning winery relies on biodynamic cultivation methods and reduces the use of chemicals to a minimum in order to preserve the purity and authenticity of their wines. The oenological focus is on producing wines that have both expressiveness and finesse and reflect the unique terroir - it should be purely Walloon and reminiscent of nothing else.
It is clear that the wine country of Belgium is about to become a really hot player in the wine game. The Belgian threat to French Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - and once again everything will be decided in the fields near Waterloo.
