Wir riechen einen Spaziergang durch Wald und Wiese: Weiße Blüten, Lavendel, trocknendes Heu, Aprikosen und reife Zitronen. Klar wie ein Gebirgsbach, duftend wie eine Blumenwiese und ätherisch wie Tannennadeln. Je mehr Luft der Wein zieht, desto intensiver wird der Duft und voller der Geschmack.
Der Geschmack wird mit jeder Sekunde an der Luft voller. Eine gelbfruchtige Aprikosen-Säure mit einer subtilen Salznote geben dem Baloiro eine aufregende Länge: ausgewogen, jung und frisch.
Drei alte, teils fast vergessene Rebsorten werden von Miguel Angel Amigo in Szene gesetzt: Godello, Doña Blanca und Palomino Fino. Das Resultat ist betörend. Bravo!

We are at the Bodega Luzdivina in the Bierzo region in the northwest of Spain, where the Menica grape is used to produce wines of the highest quality and character.
The wines are strongly influenced in the vineyard, as the unique characteristics of the soils and locations are utilized and preserved here.
There is no denying that the great red wines of Spain come from Rioja and Priorat. However, in recent years a small region in the northwest of the country has emerged as a real high-flyer.
Bierzo never fails to impress with its great red wines made from the Mencia grape. These wines are not just a discovery, but a real highlight because they are rich, structured and graceful.
The Amigo family has been cultivating vines in the region for many generations. In total, they cultivate 18 hectares of land, which are divided into more than 120 small plots, which are not far from each other. For the family, the soul of the wines comes from these small vineyards.
The vines do not grow on wire systems as we are used to, but as small free-standing bushes on the barren, stony soil. The vines of Mencia and Godello are between 50 and 100 years old. The old, almost extinct grape varieties Jerez, Doña Blanca and Garnacha Tintorera are also grown there.
