A rich ruby red with deep violet reflections that promises powerful intensity and elegance in the glass. The dense color and clear structure indicate a full-bodied Malbec with a strong personality.
The nose is dominated by dark fruits such as blackberries and plums, complemented by spicy nuances of pepper and liquorice. Subtle hints of tobacco, vanilla and oak add depth, while a fine strawberry note adds freshness and lightness.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and complex with strong tannins that gently integrate after opening. Dark fruits harmonize with spicy and smoky elements. A long, warm finish underlines the elegance and complexity of the wine.
This Malbec comes from Ecuador, an emerging wine region. The grapes ripen under optimal conditions in a tropical climate, tempered by cool nights. The aging in oak barrels gives the wine structure and balance, which make it unique.
For a long time there were only two wineries in all of Ecuador. One of them is Dos Hemisferios.
No other winery has cost us as much pioneering spirit and conviction as Dos Hemisferios. The wines convinced us so much that we took on the highs and lows of importing. As a rule, import processes are hardly worth mentioning, as goods are constantly being shipped from A to B. But in the case of Dos Hemisferios, it is different: Vioneers is de facto the first European company to import Ecuadorian wines. An absolute novelty. We cut paths through the jungle of Ecuadorian bureaucracy and crawled meter by meter through the dust of the plateau of South American serenity. The path was long and uncertain - in the end, we look back and can say: every single step was worth it.
