Our guideline is that the production of high-quality wines is compatible with the principles of responsible viticulture. Regardless of where in the world the winery is located. Because responsibility knows no boundaries! Our criteria are SUSTAINABLE, HONEST and SOCIAL (NES). Every winery in our range meets our high standards for all NES criteria. Promised!
All organic or what?
There are many definitions of what SUSTAINABLE means in winemaking. Not all winemakers are certified for their responsible approach to nature. So we check on site whether a winemaker meets our standards for the handling of the natural product wine. In fact, over 70% of the producers in our range currently have a certificate that proves their sustainable winemaking. This

Which certificates are hidden behind the "Sustainable" badge?
The best-known certificates are certainly organic and Demeter. However, there is a diverse and lesser-known selection of smaller certificates, some of which go far beyond the organic standards.

Over 50 additives can be used in wine production, none of which have to be listed on the label. Mass-produced and cheap wines are flooding the market with artificially produced smells, appearances and tastes. The security of holding an HONEST product in your hand is therefore our top priority.

The work in winemaking is often physically demanding and time-consuming, and not just during harvest time. Cheap workers from low-wage countries are popular. Against this background, high standards in the SOCIAL area are of fundamental importance to us.
