Barbera d'Alba Ariota 2022
Barbera d'Alba Ariota
Barbera d'Alba Ariota
Herbal sour cherry with juicy pepper.
In the glass, the Barbera d'Alba Ariota displays a dense ruby red with violet reflections. The color appears concentrated and vibrant, clear to the rim, without cloudiness. A visually powerful yet precise impression, signaling both freshness and substance.
Heavy aromas of red, fresh fruit hit us on the nose: sour cherry and blackberry dominate. Notes of liquorice, dried herbs and black pepper complete the aroma picture.
On the palate, Ariota is very juicy with delicate acidity. Velvety notes of vanilla envelop the Barbera character. A full body radiates through the palate, while the supple tannins and fresh acidity ensure good balance.
Ariota is a Piedmontese word for the light wind that blows from the Ligurian Sea. The vines are 25 years old, the wine was first aged in stainless steel and finally in oak. We recommend a drinking temperature of 18°C.
Independence that resonates – although there are big names right in the neighborhood, the Pressendas concentrate completely on their own path.
Monforte d'Alba in the province of Cuneo is located in the heart of Piedmont. The famous towns of Alba and Barolo are only 20 and 5 kilometers away respectively. Diego Pressenda's 15 hectares of vineyards are beautifully situated and produce mainly Piedmontese grapes such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo but also Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir.
