    Weinbeschreibung

Intoxicating cherry with spicy cedar chocolate.

In the glass, the Cul de Beaujeu shows a deep ruby red with clear violet nuances, suggesting depth and precision – a color that immediately signals the prominence of Pinot Noir from a historic Sancerre site and promises concentration.

The nose opens with ripe cherries and redcurrants, accompanied by delicate herbal spice and fine roasted notes, a cedary depth and a hint of vanilla from the oak; this combination gives the bouquet structure and draws the senses focused onto the palate.

In the mouth, a velvety mouthfeel with harmonious tannins unfolds, accompanied by aromas of ripe cherries, fine spices and a hint of chocolate.

The grapes for this wine come from carefully selected plots of the Domaine Delaporte in the Loire Valley. After fermentation, the wine was aged in oak barrels, which gives the wine a subtle complexity.

    Domaine Delaporte

    Favored by the microclimate.

Matthieu Delaporte's vineyards are located in the village of Chavignol in the AOC-certified Sancerre wine-growing region. The vines here are located on steep slopes in a narrow valley, the barren chalky soil is covered by topsoil just a few tens of centimeters thick. The steep slopes and the narrow valley of Chavignol also promote a special microclimate. The mineral, chalky soil makes the wines slim, while at the same time giving them something particularly noble and ensuring a natural freshness. Thanks to the warm microclimate of Chavignol, this minerality is perfectly balanced here.
