wine description

Juicy peach with toasted brioche.

The Cremant D'Alsace Extra Brut Millésime 2018 presents itself in a radiant golden yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles that underline the elegance of this wine.

The nose is caressed by intense aromas of ripe apples, juicy peaches and delicate floral notes, while subtle hints of toasted brioche and toast underline the complexity.

A lively freshness with a precise acid structure unfolds on the palate. The taste of crisp apple, juicy pear and a hint of citrus fruits combine to create a long-lasting, refreshing finish.

The grapes for this Cremant are carefully selected and undergo a slow, cool fermentation. The ageing takes place on the lees, giving the wine its remarkable texture and fine, persistent bubbles.

Domaine David Ermel

Tradition as quality assurance.

The Ermel family can look back on an impressive history of winemaking. The craft has been passed down from father to son since 1795. Each generation brings something new, but much remains the same. In the cellar, the beautiful, old built-in tanks are looked after and the shaking table, on which the senior regularly shakes the champagne bottles, has certainly been in use for several decades. Here, David Ermel Senior turns the vintage Crémants by hand every day and adds jokingly: "My sons want me to be busy enough too." Traditionally, mainly white grape varieties are bottled here, but a small area of Pinot Noir is also cultivated.
