The grapes for this wine come from old Carricante vines in Sicily. The careful hand-picking and gentle pressing of the grapes preserve the freshness and character of the variety. Fermentation takes place exclusively in steel tanks to emphasize the pure fruit aromas. This wine reflects the unique terroir of Sicily and the artistry of the winemaker Carlo Ferrini.
The Alberelli di Giodo winery, founded in 2016 by Carlo Ferrini, is located 950 meters above sea level on Mount Etna. With a vineyard area of around 1.5 hectares and natural cultivation, it produces around 9,000 bottles annually. Ferrini, an experienced oenologist, relies on the unique conditions of the volcano to create elegant and spicy wines of the highest quality.
