In the immediate vicinity, winemaker Julien Bonneau and chef Alexandre Lavigne join forces and produce biodynamic wines with a strong terroir. In every wine you can taste a grain of the legendary estuary - les grains d'estuaire.

A grain of Bordeaux: Biodynamic terroir wines from the most legendary estuary.

The wine world of the Bordeaux region is shaped by the rivers Garonne and Dordogne. These flow together in the gigantic Gironde estuary, which also gives the department, i.e. the federal state, its name. The wine game of Bordeaux wines distinguishes between right and left of the estuary. The proximity to the Gironde is always relevant. This proximity is also offered by the neighboring region of Charente Maritime and especially the small town of Saint-Bonnet-sur-Gironde. This is where Julien Bonneau, a respected Bordeaux winemaker from Château Haut Grelot in Blayais, and Alexandre Lavigne, a talented chef from Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, joined forces. On the pebble-rich soil along the Gironde estuary, they cultivate 10 hectares of vineyards using organic and biodynamic methods. Through a careful selection of traditional grape varieties and a deep respect for the terroir, Grains d'Estuaire produces gastronomic wines of exceptional quality and expressiveness that capture the essence of Charente-Maritime and its legendary neighborhood, at prices that Bordeaux fans can only dream of.

The Charentais / Charente Maritime is the region that borders the Gironde wine-growing region, i.e. Bordeaux, to the north. The climatic conditions here are similar due to the constant Atlantic wind. The soil is rich in pebbles and guarantees round, mineral accents.
