Weinbeschreibung

Juicy black currant with truffle cherry.

With a deep, dark color, the Corton Rognet Grand Cru 2018 from Domaine Taupenot-Merme presents itself in the glass, revealing its concentration and maturity.

The nose is caressed by ripe blackcurrants, subtle truffle notes and a hint of leather, while light hints of roasted coffee pamper the senses.

With a solid structure, the wine impresses with firm, elegant tannins and lively acidity. On the palate, it unfolds a wide range of fruit aromas.

This wine has been lovingly aged in oak barrels, giving it subtle vanilla notes and a complex structure. The 2012 edition is in full bloom.

Domaine Taupenot - Merme

Virginie and Romain have revived a sleeping giant.

The siblings Virginie and Romain Taupenot cultivate over 13 hectares with 19 appellations from Auxey-Duressees in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte d'Or, producing a range that is as diverse as it is qualitatively homogeneous. Since the beginning of the millennium, organic farming without labels has revived a wine region that was born in 1974 from the union of the two owner families and that has since then awaited the passionate commitment of the current generation of owners to revive the full potential of the highly sought-after plots, in particular Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes Chambertin in the Grand Cru.
