    Weinbeschreibung

Complex dark cherry with a hint of liquorice.

A deep purple with delicate ruby reflections, the Corton Rognet Grand Cru 2015 presents a captivating visual brilliance in the glass.

With intense notes of ripe cherries and red fruits, accompanied by earthy nuances, leather and subtle spices, a complex bouquet unfolds.

On the palate, this wine impresses with a smooth texture, sweet fruit notes, a hint of liquorice and a well-integrated oak structure. Its dry character and fine acidity give it an elegant finish.

This Grand Cru was carefully aged in oak barrels, giving it subtle notes of vanilla and nutmeg. Its long-lasting ageing potential is reflected in its structure and depth.

    Domaine Taupenot - Merme

Virginie and Romain have revived a sleeping giant.

The siblings Virginie and Romain Taupenot cultivate over 13 hectares with 19 appellations from Auxey-Duressees in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte d'Or, producing a range that is as diverse as it is qualitatively homogeneous. Since the beginning of the millennium, organic farming without labels has revived a wine region that was born in 1974 from the union of the two owner families and that has since then awaited the passionate commitment of the current generation of owners to revive the full potential of the highly sought-after plots, in particular Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes Chambertin in the Grand Cru.
