The Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2021 presents itself in a deep ruby ​​red color.

The nose is enchanted by intense cherry and raspberry aromas that blend harmoniously with delicate notes of rose petals, earthy leather and a hint of black tea leaves.

In the mouth, a lively interplay between juicy cherry fruits, delicate tannins and a refreshing acidity unfolds. The texture is silky, while nuances of clove and fine vanilla round off a complex flavor palette.

This Grand Cru matured under ideal conditions in French oak barrels. The careful selection and craftsmanship emphasize the terroir characteristics, and a subtle but effective maturation period enhances the elegance.

Virginie and Romain have revived a sleeping giant.

The siblings Virginie and Romain Taupenot cultivate over 13 hectares with 19 appellations from Auxey-Duressees in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte d'Or, producing a range that is as diverse as it is qualitatively homogeneous. Since the beginning of the millennium, organic farming without labels has revived a wine region that was born in 1974 from the union of the two owner families and that has since then awaited the passionate commitment of the current generation of owners to revive the full potential of the highly sought-after plots, in particular Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes Chambertin in the Grand Cru.
