Gewürztraminer Stoass 2022

Gewürztraminer Stoass
Gewürztraminer Stoass

Wonderful vineyard peach with spicy minerality.
The Gewürztraminer Stoass 2022 presents itself in a tempting straw yellow that captures the sun of South Tyrol and indicates the exquisite quality with its intense color.
It smells of vineyard peaches, green apples and green mango. Aromas of lychee, rose, quince and cherry blossom are also clearly noticeable. At the same time, the Gewürztraminer does not seem kitschy or intrusive, but rather charming and reserved.
The Alpine Gewürztraminer is also light, clear and precise on the palate. A calm spiciness, a fine melt, little acidity and an incredible length make it a very well-rounded wine. You wouldn't initially suspect any minerality here, but a pinch of wet salt comes through.
The Gewürztraminer Stoass 2022 from Pfitscher is characterized by careful vinification. The natural mutation of the Traminer grape variety, combined with modern winemaking techniques, results in an excellent wine with strong aromas.
Steep family affair.
The Pfitscher family can be wonderfully compared to their wines. Each has their own character, but they all have one thing in common: they are honest and straightforward. Together they pursue the goal of making “great” wines. The Pfitschers have been pursuing this goal for seven generations and the last three are currently at work. From Grandpa Alfred, who still helps out in the vineyard, to Dad Klaus, who continues to advise as cellar master, and Mom Monika, who holds the reins in the office, to the youngest generation: the three siblings Daniel, Hannes and Marion. The former is the brains for marketing and sales, Hannes has dedicated himself to the vineyard and winemaking and Marion is the organizational talent.
