Weinbeschreibung

Ripe apple with buttery clove.

When a wine flows out of the bottle with this color, you know that it can only mean good things. An intense, beautiful golden yellow, almost shimmering and sparkling.

On the nose, a pure, focused aromatic profile of exotic fruits unfolds, accompanied by ripe pears and fresh apple. A delicate hint of citrus zest and subtle vanilla from the oak is perceptible, without overpowering the fruit. The balance of fruit clarity and fine oak influence makes for a pleasantly accessible first impression.

It tastes very strong, soft and round, like the fruits mentioned above. The acidity is very moderate and suggests a yellow fruity freshness. The minerality comes across as stony and melty.

The grapes thrive in the calcareous steep slopes near Neumarkt and Auer at an altitude of about 300 meters, which lends the wine its alpine minerality and clear tension. Gentle fermentation in stainless steel and barrique, as well as several months of aging on fine lees, provide structure and depth without compromising freshness and elegance.

Tenuta Pfitscher

Steep family affair.

The Pfitscher family can be wonderfully compared to their wines. Each has their own character, but they all have one thing in common: they are honest and straightforward. Together they pursue the goal of making “great” wines. The Pfitschers have been pursuing this goal for seven generations and the last three are currently at work. From Grandpa Alfred, who still helps out in the vineyard, to Dad Klaus, who continues to advise as cellar master, and Mom Monika, who holds the reins in the office, to the youngest generation: the three siblings Daniel, Hannes and Marion. The former is the brains for marketing and sales, Hannes has dedicated himself to the vineyard and winemaking and Marion is the organizational talent.
