Pinot Gris Reserve Vieilles Vignes

wine description

Creamy peach with juicy acacia blossom.

The Pinot Gris Reserve Vieilles Vignes 2022 presents itself in a bright golden yellow color, interspersed with delicate green reflections.

On the nose, the wine unfolds delicate aromas of juicy pears, accompanied by subtle hints of white peach and a hint of acacia blossoms.

On the palate, this Pinot Gris impresses with its creamy texture and full body. The harmonious combination of ripe fruit notes and refreshing acidity ensures a long and elegant finish.

The Reserve Vieilles Vignes has been carefully aged in oak barrels, which develops a subtle vanilla note and gives the wine an additional dimension.

Domaine David Ermel

Tradition as quality assurance.

The Ermel family can look back on an impressive history of winemaking. The craft has been passed down from father to son since 1795. Each generation brings something new, but much remains the same. In the cellar, the beautiful, old built-in tanks are looked after and the shaking table, on which the senior regularly shakes the champagne bottles, has certainly been in use for several decades. Here, David Ermel Senior turns the vintage Crémants by hand every day and adds jokingly: "My sons want me to be busy enough too." Traditionally, mainly white grape varieties are bottled here, but a small area of Pinot Noir is also cultivated.
