The Ermel family can look back on an impressive viticultural history. Since 1795, the craft has been passed down from father to son here. Each generation brings something new, yet much remains the same. In the cellar, the beautiful old built-in tanks are meticulously maintained, and the riddling rack, where the senior regularly riddles the sparkling wine bottles, has certainly been in use for several decades. Here, David Ermel Senior manually turns the vintage Crémants daily and jokingly adds: "My sons want to make sure I'm kept busy enough." Traditionally, white grape varieties are primarily bottled here, but a small area of Pinot Noir is also cultivated.
