Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir
Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir
Aromatic cherry with complex vanilla.
A sparkling, deep ruby red appears in the glass, lively and clear with a medium degree of color intensity. The reflections are reminiscent of garnet and announce the elegance of the Pinot Noir that is typical of the Willamette Valley.
The nose is greeted with intense aromas of cherry, cranberry and raspberry. Accompanied by subtle tones of smoke, pepper and vanilla, earthy and spicy nuances unfold, creating a complex fragrance and indicating maturity.
On the palate, the wine has a delicate texture with well-integrated acidity and medium tannins. The aromas of red fruits unfold gently, accompanied by a hint of cola and black tea. The finish is elegant and of medium length.
This Pinot Noir is sustainably grown in the cool climate of the Willamette Valley and presents itself with clear influences of minerality and precise fruit. What makes it special is its balance between intense aromas and structure - a masterful vinification.
Tradition meets innovation: The Gerrie family focuses on sustainable premium winemaking in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Cristom Vineyards, a family business in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon since 1992, is a prime example of a successful family winery that masters the balancing act between sustainability and performance. The Gerrie family, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, named the winery after their children Christina and Tom (ChRIS-TOM) in 1992 and is committed to producing exceptional wines. The winery primarily cultivates Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on a vineyard area of around 36 hectares. The winery's philosophy is based on a deep connection to nature and the belief that the quality of the wine is already decided in the vineyard. Cristom Vineyards is characterized by its family atmosphere, with the second generation of the Gerrie family, with Tom Gerrie as winemaker in particular, committed to maintaining the heritage and further developing innovative viticulture and cellar techniques. Their ecological focus and biodynamic farming methods contribute to the uniqueness of their wines, which are highly recognized in the wine world, especially in America but also recently in Europe. In 2023, the winery was among the top 100 wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine for the eighth year in a row. The wines are served in the best restaurants in the world.
