Weinbeschreibung

Seductive raspberry with vanilla cola.

The Cristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir 2021 presents itself in a clear, deep ruby red. Its bright color intensity shows youthful vitality, while subtle light-reflecting properties reveal an elegant clarity.

On the nose, this Pinot Noir reveals a seductive bouquet of cherry, strawberry and raspberry, combined with earthy undertones of leather and smoke. Nuances of oak, vanilla and cola add a complex aromatic depth.

On the palate, the wine impresses with a harmonious balance of gentle acidity and fine-grained tannins. The medium body unfolds flavors of ripe red and black fruits, complemented by subtle spice and floral accents.

The Mt. Jefferson Cuvée 2021 features whole cluster fermentation and natural yeasts. These methods, coupled with the careful selection of grapes from the best locations in the Eola-Amity Hills, give this wine its unique identity and depth.

Cristom Vineyards

Tradition meets innovation: The Gerrie family focuses on sustainable premium winemaking in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

Cristom Vineyards, a family business in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon since 1992, is a prime example of a successful family winery that masters the balancing act between sustainability and performance. The Gerrie family, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, named the winery after their children Christina and Tom (ChRIS-TOM) in 1992 and is committed to producing exceptional wines. The winery primarily cultivates Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on a vineyard area of around 36 hectares. The winery's philosophy is based on a deep connection to nature and the belief that the quality of the wine is already decided in the vineyard. Cristom Vineyards is characterized by its family atmosphere, with the second generation of the Gerrie family, with Tom Gerrie as winemaker in particular, committed to maintaining the heritage and further developing innovative viticulture and cellar techniques. Their ecological focus and biodynamic farming methods contribute to the uniqueness of their wines, which are highly recognized in the wine world, especially in America but also recently in Europe. In 2023, the winery was among the top 100 wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine for the eighth year in a row. The wines are served in the best restaurants in the world.
