wine description

Spicy wild berries with roasted chocolate.

The Schubert Block B 2017 presents itself in a deep ruby red color with violet reflections, which reflects the concentration and maturity of this Pinot Noir.

The nose reveals complex aromas of wild berries, accompanied by delicate hints of aromatic spices, truffles and a hint of earthy forest floor.

The mouthfeel is velvety and full-bodied, while the taste is characterized by intense notes of dark Ghana chocolate, roasted spices and fine minerality. Well-structured tannins give a powerful finish.

The Schubert Block B 2017 was vinified with the utmost precision, with the grapes being carefully selected. The wine was aged in new French oak barrels, resulting in a harmonious integration of toast, vanilla and chocolate notes.

In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
