    Weinbeschreibung

Ripe black cherry with chocolatey cinnamon.

The Red Icon 2016 presents itself in a fascinating cherry red, interspersed with vibrant violet reflections that underline its youthful freshness.

Its bouquet seduces with intense aromas of ripe black cherries and delicate notes of roasted coffee, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and spices.

An elegant texture unfolds on the palate. Juicy cherries combine with nuances of dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon to create a harmonious pleasure experience.

This wine matured for 20 months in French barriques, giving it its remarkable complexity and the perfect balance between freshness and structure.

    Painted Rock Estate Winery

Painted Rock is featured in the best wine clubs in London and is still an insider tip in the rest of Europe. That won't be the case for much longer!

No matter which aspect of winemaking one picks out or which external factor one considers, John Skinner uncompromisingly implements his plan for the best possible wine quality with Painted Rock. No detail is overlooked. For example, the valuable soil of the existing peach orchard was not bulldozed away, but each tree stump was individually removed before vines were planted. And the Syrah was planted where a cool airflow through a small gorge creates the perfect microclimate. The list of examples is endless.
