Fine-meshed raspberry with a truffly cedarwood.

In the glass, a picture-perfect Pinot – radiant ruby red with a delicate, brightening rim that fades to light. Slightly translucent, yet with depth, like a silk shirt on a dark cherry night. The viscosity flows slowly, controlled – nothing flutters, everything glides.

A finely-meshed aroma between a forest walk and a smoking lounge. Ripe raspberries, morello cherries, and dried violets meet cedarwood, tobacco leaf, and a hint of truffle. Underlying it is that typical Vosne-Romanée undertone: earthy, spicy, a little mysterious – like freshly opened leather over damp forest soil.

Velvety, yet not watered down – with the grip of a bespoke suit. The acidity is precise and propulsive, the tannins finely chalky yet structured. Sour cherry, blackcurrant, and a hint of stewed plum meet fine cedar spice, a whisper of mint – cool, elegant, with a long, mineral finish.

The "Aux Réas" parcel is located directly below the Grand Crus – and you can taste it. Hand-picked grapes, spontaneous fermentation, maturation in wood (some new, never dominant) – this is artisanal refinement with respect for the terroir. A Vosne with depth, but without airs. Authentic, not artificial.

Domaine Jean Fery

Burgundy's natural diversity in a glass – cherished worldwide for generations.

The roots of Domaine Jean Féry date back to the 19th century, when the family cultivated not only wine but also currants in the Burgundian village of Échevronne (Side Note: Legend has it that these black currants once formed part of the perfume icon Chanel No. 5). In 1980, Marcelle and Jean Féry founded the winery under their own name, and their son Jean-Louis Féry took over in 1988. With great passion, he expanded the family winery with new vineyards and modern cellar technology. Today, the vineyards cover about 14 hectares – spread across numerous renowned appellations from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise. The winery has been organic certified since 2011. In the cellar, the team relies on traditional methods, carefully tending to the wines and avoiding unnecessary technology. Jean-Louis' motto is simple: "Quality is priceless." The next generation is already at the helm: his sons Frédéric and Laurent continue to run the Domaine with the same passion. You can taste all of this in every bottle – Burgundy to fall in love with, honest and unadulterated.
