    Weinbeschreibung

Juicy cherry herb garden with blackberries.

In the glass, it presents itself as very dark, almost black-red, with a violet shimmer at the rim. It appears dense and concentrated, with slowly forming "church windows" that betray its substance. Even at first glance, it signals: a serious character is entering the scene.

The nose offers a herb garden after a summer rain, a delicate wisp of smoke, a forest floor after a cool morning. Additionally, dark cherries, blackberries, and a hint of dried mint. Fresh, cool, and spicy all at once – like a walk through a forest and orchard with a fireplace in the background.

On the palate, juicy, powerful, and precise. The acidity attacks tightly, as if wanting to carve structure into the wine. Strong yet finely honed tannins hold it in a corset, while ripe plum and elderberry bring length and depth. A wine with grip, energy, and a long finish.

The Lemberger matures in carefully selected wooden barrels, which give it backbone and spice without overwhelming it. The Württemberg soil – characterized by Keuper and Muschelkalk – gives it strength and elegance. The result is a Lemberger that effortlessly ranks among the best in the country.
