Querceto di Castellina
Time stands still here, delightfully.
The Di Battista family has owned the Querceto di Castellina winery since 1945. In addition to olive cultivation, a hotel and cooking courses, they have been winning the hearts of their guests with organic Chianti wines since 1998.

The best wine grows in the quietest corners of Tuscany: Chianti Classico - home of enjoyment.
Querceto di Castellina (the oak forest of Castellina) is a family-run winery in the heart of Chianti Classico between Siena and Florence. Away from the tourist crowds of Italy's most popular holiday region, there is complete peace and quiet.
The winery stands for the combination of enjoyment and sustainable winemaking practices. Since it was taken over by the Di Battista family in 1945, the winery has continued to develop: initially the focus was only on agriculture and pig farming. Due to the constant, high-quality expansion of the winery since the 1980s, olive farming, cooking courses and the hotel business have become the central focus of the business.
It was not until 1998 that the son of the gourmet family, Jacopo Di Battista, devoted himself to the 11 hectares of vineyards (out of a total of 28 hectares including forests and olive groves). With his team of winemakers, he is committed to creating authentic organic Chiantis that convey the unique mineral terroir and the strong character of the Sangiovese grape variety. The focus is on artisanal precision and sustainable viticulture. The Chianti Classico wines from Querceto di Castellina are known for their elegance, complexity and authenticity, which reflect the family's vision: to create wines that celebrate the region, craftsmanship and enjoyment.
Good wine is created in the vineyard.
Querceto di Castellina relies on organic farming methods and promotes biodiversity on the winery. The ecological balance is maintained through the use of natural farming techniques and the care of the surrounding forests. In addition, renewable energies and resource-saving processes are used to minimize the ecological footprint and at the same time produce wines of the highest quality. The fundamental belief is that good wine can only be good if everything is right in the vineyard.
Winemaking with authenticity and craftsmanship
The Querceto di Castellina winery has a clear commitment to quality: every bottle of wine reflects the care and dedication invested in the vineyards and wine cellar. With a focus on small production quantities and traditional techniques, it is ensured that the wine reflects the characteristics of the terroir in an authentic way. Authenticity and transparency are at the forefront of every step of the production process, from the vine to the bottle.
Commitment to the community and tradition
Querceto di Castellina is deeply rooted in the local community and supports numerous regional initiatives. These include promoting sustainable tourism and working with charitable organizations to support social projects in the region. The Di Battista family attaches great importance to preserving Tuscan traditions and promotes the region's culinary heritage, particularly through Tuscan cooking courses.
