wine description

Wild blackberry with berry cherry.

The Marions Vineyard Magnum 2016 presents itself in deep ruby red, tempting and impenetrable in the magnum bottle, a visual promise of intensity and maturity.

With beguiling aromas of wild blackberries, cherries and hints of rose petals, this Pinot Noir enchants the senses, while subtle spice notes create a complex olfactory experience.

The mouthfeel is silky and smooth, while the concentration of berries unfolds on the palate. A hint of spices and the harmonious balance make every sip a pleasure.

Marion's Vineyard Magnum 2016 is the result of 15 months of maturation in new French oak barrels. This aging process gives the wine a subtle vanilla note and an impressive structure.

After completing his viticulture studies in Geisenheim, the career changer began a worldwide search for the right place for a winery with the best conditions for Pinot Noir - and he chose New Zealand. In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
