Baglio Oro, so to speak the "golden ray" in the Sicilian wine sky, is a typical Italian family winery. Grandfather, father, and the three adult sons continue to contribute with great passion to the creation of varietally typical, unembellished wines. The transition from tradition to modernity is naturally driven by the sons, but without diminishing family traditions and Sicily's long winemaking history. The Mediterranean sun pumps its power into the grapes during the day, and at night the proximity to the sea brings a cool breeze. The highlight of Baglio Oro: Grapes are grown on approx. 100 hectares, a very impressive area. However, 90% of the grapes are sold to large bottlers who process them further, making supermarket customers happy worldwide with hectoliters of wine. But the best 10% are kept for the wines of the own winery.
