Domaine de la Creuze Noire
Between Mâconnais and Beaujolais
The Domaine de la Creuze Noire is located between the two heavyweight wine regions of Mâconnais and Beaujolais. The Martin family has been growing fascinating white wines here for many generations.

The Martin family has been cultivating 32 hectares of vineyards in the French white wine epicenter since 1983. The result of terroir, talent and passion are first-class wines.
In the middle of the hotspot
The family winery Creuze Noire is located in the enchanted village of Leynes and creates a connection between two worlds. The vineyards are cultivated in Beaujolais and Mâcon (Burgundy), as the winery is conveniently located right in the middle of these two wine worlds. With his craftsmanship and dedication, the winemaker Dominique Martin manages to wonderfully tease out the typical characteristics of the two regions.
Martin family
Dominique and Christine Martin are the fifth generation to run this winery and are continually developing it. When Dominique took over his parents' business, the family farmed 5 hectares; today it is almost 30 hectares. In addition, the cellar and storage rooms have been expanded. What has remained unchanged and is still the heart of the estate is the idyllic sandstone family house.
The range
The wines of the Domaine de la Creuze Noire are consistently authentic and honest.
The St. Véran is considered an insider tip and is fresh on the nose and opulent in taste.
Here the diversity of the grape variety is clearly evident.
The icing on the cake is the Pouilly Fuissé “Le Clos de Monsieur Noly”, which was aged in wood for 12 months. This wine is in the top league. The range is complemented by the Beaujolais Rosé, which is fresh and clean and shows another facet of the winemaker's skills.
Respect for the environment.
The winegrower's primary goal must be to support the fragile balance that the environment, nature, brings with it in the vineyard. Between tradition and modernization, the Domaine de la Creuze Noire places particular emphasis on respect for the soil and biodiversity. Since 2018, the annual harvest has been awarded the "Haute Valeur Environnementale" (high-quality sustainable) label.
Trust as the most important currency
Over 50 additives can be used in wine production, none of which have to be listed on the label. Mass-produced and cheap wines are flooding the market with artificially produced smells, appearances and tastes. The security of holding an HONEST product in your hand is therefore our top priority.
✔ 100% family wineries
✔ Personal relationship with the winemaker
✔ No influence from ratings, seals or points
Responsibility for the team in the engine room
The work in winemaking is often physically demanding and time-consuming, and not just during harvest time. Cheap workers from low-wage countries are popular. Against this background, high SOCIAL standards are of fundamental importance to us.
✔ Fair wages and humane treatment
✔ Social responsibility
✔ Social commitment
"Every stage of the year is experienced by the whole family here: from cultivation to harvest. We don't just love wine - we live it."

Beaujolais and Mâconnais.
Unfortunately, no further generalization can be made, as each of the individual sites of the Domaine de la Creuze Noire tells its own story, such as Saint-Véran or Pouilly-Fuissé. The wines are made in such a way that they can tell the stories of the microclimate and the soil - a little different every year.
