    Weinbeschreibung

    Compote-like blackberry with peppery chocolate.

In the glass, a deep ruby red with violet reflections, like evening light over warm stone, is revealed. The color appears dense, yet not impenetrable.

A compote-like wave of blackberry and plum rolls over the nose, carried by dark spices, a hint of pepper and a touch of cocoa. Behind it, mossy, herbal notes emerge, like a walk through Mediterranean garrigue after a warm summer rain.

On the palate, the wine is round and velvety, with ripe, dark fruit and a juicy mid-palate. The tannins still have a slight grip, like fine sandpaper on a wooden handle, providing structure without being scratchy. Spicy notes and subtle wood provide length.

This cuvée of Syrah and Mourvèdre relies on classic Southern French grape varieties that love sun, wind, and meager soils. The wine comes across as powerful, yet never heavy. That is exactly what makes it special: Mediterranean warmth, packaged in elegance rather than brute force.

    Domaine de la Navicelle

    Unbridled freshness and fine elegance.

It wasn't that long ago that the team around Romain Magnanou and Alice Euvrard (both originally from Bordeaux) took over the business of the Domaine de la Navicelle in 2019. While Alice is particularly responsible for the brand and sales, winemaker and oenologist Romain gives the wines his unique signature. Romain learned, studied and always practiced viticulture in Bordeaux from an early age.
