Cremant de Bourgogne Extra Brut 2023
Cremant de Bourgogne Extra Brut
Cremant de Bourgogne Extra Brut
Balanced lemon with vanilla brioche.
Medium straw yellow color in the glass, clear reflections and a fine, even perlage. The bubbles form consistently and contribute to the presence without being too obtrusive. The visual image shows control and finesse, an invitation to the next sip.
The nose is filled with balanced notes of ripe lemons, fully ripe yellow apples and pears and fresh, buttered brioche.
A hint of vanilla, quince jelly and a pinch of fleur de sel create a taste that combines perfectly with the beautiful melt, the fruity acid structure and the slightly mineral note. Perfect balance.
This Extra Brut from Burgundy aged for over 20 months on its lees after the second fermentation, which noticeably enhances its complexity and texture. The grapes come from selected parcels and benefit from the Burgundy terroir, which combines freshness, structure, and minerality.
The Martin family has been cultivating 32 hectares of vineyards in the French white wine epicenter since 1983. The result of terroir, talent and passion are first-class wines.
In the middle of the hotspot
The family winery Creuze Noire is located in the enchanted village of Leynes and creates a connection between two worlds. The vineyards are cultivated in Beaujolais and Mâcon (Burgundy), as the winery is conveniently located right in the middle of these two wine worlds. With his craftsmanship and dedication, the winemaker Dominique Martin manages to wonderfully tease out the typical characteristics of the two regions.
Martin family
Dominique and Christine Martin are the fifth generation to run this winery and are continually developing it. When Dominique took over his parents' business, the family farmed 5 hectares; today it is almost 30 hectares. In addition, the cellar and storage rooms have been expanded. What has remained unchanged and is still the heart of the estate is the idyllic sandstone family house.
The range
The wines of the Domaine de la Creuze Noire are consistently authentic and honest.
The St. Véran is considered an insider tip and is fresh on the nose and opulent in taste.
Here the diversity of the grape variety is clearly evident.
The icing on the cake is the Pouilly Fuissé “Le Clos de Monsieur Noly”, which was aged in wood for 12 months. This wine is in the top league. The range is complemented by the Beaujolais Rosé, which is fresh and clean and shows another facet of the winemaker's skills.
