wine description

Fresh raspberry in the dream team of sweetness, acidity and tannin.

While the color still looks like a deep red classic, an aromatic nose already awaits us.

The first scent is of rich currants, cranberries and lemons. But you can also smell that it is a red wine.

The first sip brings with it an explosion of flavor. A dream team of sweetness, acidity, fruit and tannin. First the fruity sweetness spreads, which is immediately overtaken by a crisp, lively acidity. Then the taste of fresh raspberries comes through very clearly, followed by a pleasant, steadfast tannin. Important: definitely enjoy it chilled!

This small bottle contains a variety of grape varieties, including the typical regional varieties such as: Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz.

Quinta do Pôpa

Family history to drink: Grandfather Pôpa's lifelong dream was to have his own winery in the Douro Valley. His descendants are making this dream come true.

The young Pôpa worked in the vineyards of the Douro Valley in the oldest protected wine-growing region in the world. The proud man was passionately convinced of the quality and uniqueness of the wines. Pôpa dreamed of owning his own winery. It was only after his death that this dream came true and in 2003 his son Zeca bought the first 9 hectares of vineyards in the Douro Valley: these included renowned but also new locations. Together with his children Vanessa and Stéphane and the winemaker and king of the Baga grape, Luis Pato, he built the Quinta do Pôpa winery in honour of his father. In 2010 he handed it over to the capable hands of his children, who look after the family legacy with care and devotion.
