A delicate note of strawberry, sour raspberry, currant and rhubarb.
On the palate, this red fruit is accompanied by a tart and a salty note, which make the rosé seem very mature. The mineral note for which the region is known also comes through very strongly here. A light tannin: unobtrusive, yet present and constantly refreshing.
The elegant rosé stands out without any frills, kitsch or girliness and is therefore very appealing to everyone - and not just on hot summer days.

Peter Wagner is a winner - young, focused, progressive. After studying in Geisenheim and gaining 5 years of experience as a cellar master at "the" Franz Keller from Kaiserstuhl, he took over his parents' business in Oberrotweil and started from zero to one hundred with the 2017 vintage. Peter Wagner scores points with his own style, which seems unusual for the Kaiserstuhl: he harvests his grapes relatively early in the year in order to counteract the Baden wine with its typical lush sweetness with a slim and elegant freshness. In addition, his wines are matured dry and fully fermented, stored on the yeast for a long time and bottled unfined and unfiltered.
