wine description

Gentle pear with exotic pineapple.

The Mademoiselle Blubb Pétillant Naturel shines in a light straw yellow with golden reflections. Fine, even bubbles rise continuously and underline its natural liveliness. The clear shine of the wine speaks for the highest purity and craftsmanship.

Intense aromas of ripe pear, green apple and a hint of exotic pineapple unfold on the nose. A subtle yeast note complements the fruit and gives the wine an elegant, slightly floral note with appealing complexity.

On the palate, the wine is lively and tangy. The fine perlage tickles the tongue, while the fruity acidity perfectly balances the delicate sweetness. Pear and honey melt into a gently mineral finish that lingers for a long time.

This PetNat is spontaneously fermented using the traditional method and bottled unfiltered to preserve its naturalness. The winery uses only hand-picked grapes grown on calcareous soils with plenty of sun exposure. A wine that combines authenticity and craftsmanship in every bottle.

Weingut Gebrüder Mathis

Baden pioneers: Aging Burgundy in French barriques was a novelty.

For the “Gebrüder Mathis”, winegrowing on the Tuniberg began two generations ago with a decision: the brothers Bernhard and Paul Mathis began to cultivate the storage areas of their parents' gypsum quarry as vineyards. The brothers quickly realized that their wines had not yet reached their full potential. They therefore decided to mature their Burgundy in French barriques - a first for Baden wine at the time. Inspired by the positive response to a wine that was not intended for sale, but only for their own use, the “Gebrüder Mathis” winery was founded in the 1970s.
