Sancerre Les Marnes
Sancerre Les Marnes

Floral vanilla with creamy butter biscuits.
Les Marnes has a deep golden yellow with light reflections.
The aromas explode on the nose, while retaining a certain elegance. Light vanilla notes nestle against acacia and maypole nuances. The whole thing is accompanied by creamy butter biscuit notes.
Les Marnes has a strong fullness and density in the mouth. Its balance also shows the high ageing potential of a Sauvignon Blanc. We notice that the wine is already perfect, but could also wait a few more years in the cellar.
The vines are 30 years old. The Les Marnes site, with its 1.3 hectares, is characterized by white limestone pebbles. The Sauvignon Blanc is slowly fermented in wooden barrels and then matured for 12-15 months in 500 liter wooden barrels.
The rebirth of a vineyard - a story of brothers and friends.
The Fleuriet family has been involved in agriculture in Sancerre since the 18th century. In recent years, the father, Bernard Fleuriet, has been particularly influential in shaping the wine style with his own business. He is raising his sons as young winemakers, allowing them to learn and develop their own language.
In 2014, a unique opportunity presented itself to the two winemakers - a good friend of the family, Stéphane Marchand, became seriously ill and asked the brothers for their help. They were to bring their innovative knowledge and love of sustainability to the Marchand family's vineyards. The rebirth of the fallow land in the middle of Sancerre began. What began as a project solidified and became permanent: Renaissance was born. The two brothers started out solo.
The brothers Benoit and Mathieu quickly realized that their hearts beat for more than just Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre. They are working towards the great goal of absolute sustainability. They mastered the first stage as an organic winery in 2019. It was only since the 2021 vintage that they were allowed to call themselves biodynamic, another milestone.
The conversion is complete - the vineyards have been reborn. Now we can celebrate with fine Sancerre wines that reflect the special terroir of the Loire wine region with their strong character and nobility.
