Pinot Noir Estate 2017

Pinot Noir Estate
Pinot Noir Estate

Leathery pepper with smoked sour cherry.
In muted garnet red we discover ruby red highlights towards the rim of the glass.
Aromas of sour cherries, rhubarb and wild strawberries dominate the nose. But nuances of cocoa, peppercorn, leather and smoked meat also come through impressively.
This Pinot Noir has an incredible amount of power and severity - the tannin is almost otherworldly and coarse-grained. Its acidity is stimulating and young. Instead of minerality, there are fine earthy notes: cool forest floor paired with moderate and soft fruit. The wine lingers in the mouth for a very long time - a real powerhouse.
This Pinot Noir was grown on sandy loam and concentrated pink granite. This unique combination creates a tantalizing and almost electric sensation on the tongue.
Curtis works ultra-professionally and pays attention to detail.
Curtis Krouzel: Initiator, owner, simply the man behind 50th Parallel Estate Winery – what a guy! Looks – a rock star who rarely takes off his sunglasses. Hobby – a passionate surfer and fan of the WSL (World Surf League). But at the core, he is above all a man with a big heart, down-to-earth and not aloof, ultra-professional and obsessed with detail. And full of passion for 50th Parallel every minute. The result: amazing wines and a winery that you just have to visit!
