Experiments in the valley of many cellars.
Since 1956, the vines in Valpolicella in northern Italy have been growing parallel to the family history of the experimental Lavarini family.

Where scientists once sat in the cellar by candlelight, award-winning Valpolicella wines from the Lavarini family now mature.
The land has been owned by the Lavarini family since the end of the 19th century. Originally, however, the land was only intended for growing fruit and wine for personal consumption. When demand for Valpolicella wines skyrocketed after the Second World War, Angelo Lavarini decided to professionalize winemaking, and successfully so. Since then, outstanding wines have been produced in the Valpolicella Classico and Valpantena. Since 2004, these wines have won over 50 awards. A judgment that speaks for itself.
Angelo Lavarini also recognized his passion for cherries and made an entire cherry field near Marano available for scientific study of pests. It was to become a place where scientists, teachers and students regularly came and went. After work, they sat in the cellar by candlelight (there was no electricity in the vineyards) to enjoy the magical atmosphere that enchanted the cellar room through the wine, a gift from the grapes.
All organic or what?
There are many definitions of what NATURAL means in winemaking. Not all winemakers are certified to treat nature responsibly. So we check for ourselves on site whether a winemaker meets our standards for treating the natural product wine.
✔ Organic, vegan, unfiltered, natural, etc.
✔ Biodiversity instead of monoculture
✔ Natural products produced at the pace of nature
Trust as the most important currency
Over 50 additives can be used in wine production, none of which have to be listed on the label. Mass-produced and cheap wines are flooding the market with artificially produced smells, appearances and tastes. The security of holding an HONEST product in your hand is therefore our top priority.
✔ 100% family wineries
✔ Personal relationship with the winemaker
✔ No influence from ratings, seals or points
Responsibility for the team in the engine room
The work in winemaking is often physically demanding and time-consuming, and not just during harvest time. Cheap workers from low-wage countries are popular. Against this background, high standards in the SOCIAL area are of fundamental importance to us.
✔ Fair wages and humane treatment
✔ Social responsibility
✔ Social commitment
"Our winery is a blend of passion, tradition and love. This is why every single bottle embodies these immortal values."

Valpolicella - the valley of many cellars.
The Valpolicella is divided into three regions: the Valpolicella Classico, the Valpolicella Valpantena and the Valpolicella Orientale. All three are located between Lake Garda and Verona and are characterized by the heat reservoir of the adjacent lake and the climatic barrier of the Dolomites in the northeast. Ideal conditions for wine thanks to rich soils, climate, traditional pergola cultivation and a lot of Italian passion.
