    Weinbeschreibung

Lively green apple with spicy exoticism.

The Curious Magpie presents itself in a clear, pale tone, streaked with lively reflections. An appealing interplay of light and liquid.

The nose is wooed by intense aromas of green apple and exotic spices, while subtle floral nuances appeal to the senses. A complex bouquet that arouses curiosity.

On the palate, there is a refreshing mouthfeel with a distinctive minerality. The taste of juicy apples and spicy notes unfolds harmoniously, accompanied by a lively acidity.

"Die Neugierige Elster" was meticulously vinified, starting with a hand-picked harvest. Fermentation was intracellular, and aging on fine lees without sulfur lent the wine a unique texture and authenticity.

    Goldatzel winery

Family winery in a historic wine town.

It is no exaggeration to call Johannisberg in the Rheingau the cradle of Riesling. For several hundred years, wines have been produced here that have significantly shaped the image of German Riesling - nationally and internationally. The term "Spätlese" was coined here at the end of the 17th century, and we now know it as a quality level for all German wines. With their 12-hectare Goldatzel winery, the Groß family runs one of the venerable and traditional Riesling hotspots. In order to produce particularly intense and multifaceted Rieslings, Johannes Groß focuses on quartzite-rich vineyards.
