Granat 2021
Granat
Cabernet Sauvignon
Merlot
Cabertin
Granat
Spicy plums with allspice.
Deep crimson with an almost black core and violet reflections characterize the first impression. The color appears dense and concentrated, clear and without cloudiness. There is hardly any lightening at the rim of the glass, which indicates ripeness, substance, and a deliberately powerful style.
It is initially reserved when it comes to revealing aromas. The garnet is quiet, almost shy, and only begins to speak tentatively. The ripe fruit is reminiscent of plums and blackberries and accompanies it only casually as it begins to tell the story of its development.
The spicy notes are underlined by the use of wood. This provides the framework for the rich fruit, the spicy notes of allspice and bay leaves as well as the delicate roasted notes of the barrels come across very well.
A wine with immense calm, complexity and depth that is only produced in special years. The decision on this always lies in the vintage. Only the best grapes are used for this. 43% Zweigelt, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 2% Cabertin.
