    Muscat D'Alsace

    je 100ml
    Weinbeschreibung

A sea of roses with lemony quince.

In the glass, a clear, bright yellow with greenish reflections is revealed. The color appears transparent and lively, without heaviness or oxidative notes. The viscosity remains moderate, suggesting a dry, fresh style with a focus on precision and drinkability.

The Muscat d'Alscace smells like a sea of flowers with nuances of quince, lemon peel and young green pear. The dominant rose is surrounded by honey, lychee, white peach and apricot.

On the palate it is clear that the floral and fruity aromas dominate, although the wine was vinified dry. The acidity is also moderate and not overpowering - it leaves plenty of balanced space for the floral density typical of Muscat.

The wine comes from cool Alsatian vineyards and is vinified varietally from Muscat grapes. The harvest is early to preserve freshness. It is aged exclusively in stainless steel, without wood. The goal is clarity and varietal typicity. It is precisely this uncompromising dryness that makes it special.

    Domaine David Ermel

    Tradition as quality assurance.

The Ermel family can look back on an impressive history of winemaking. The craft has been passed down from father to son since 1795. Each generation brings something new, but much remains the same. In the cellar, the beautiful, old built-in tanks are looked after and the shaking table, on which the senior regularly shakes the champagne bottles, has certainly been in use for several decades. Here, David Ermel Senior turns the vintage Crémants by hand every day and adds jokingly: "My sons want me to be busy enough too." Traditionally, mainly white grape varieties are bottled here, but a small area of Pinot Noir is also cultivated.
